Position Overview: Reports to the Director of Health Information Management. Responsible for the supervision of coding staff to ensure timely and accurate coding for billing of hospital claims. Experience in correlating coding accuracy and documentation appropriateness to resolve coding issues and to present information on going (i.e., case mix, DRG analysis) to management. Provides education and training to staff.  Writes appeals. Telemetry I/3200 is a 27 bed unit. Working on a telemetry floor presents the opportunity for all nurses to learn and understand how to identify, interpret and manage cardiac rhythms, as well as receiving continuing education on cardiac treatments, medications, and cardiac drips. In addition to cardiac patients, Telemetry I/3200 cares for pulmonary patients (pneumonia and COPD), gastrointestinal patients (gastrointestinal bleeds, small bowel obstructions), ICU step down patients (tracheostomy care, percutaneous endo-gastric tube management, total parenteral nutrition management, foley catheter management, wound care).   We are seeking a strong candidate who will be supportive, communicative, and an excellent problem solver. The Assistant Nurse Manager will need to be someone who promotes positivity.
